What we store about you, and why
A plain-language companion to the privacy policy: the four categories of data we hold and the reason each one exists.
Our privacy policy is a legal document and reads like one. This is the same information written the way we would explain it to someone across a table.
We hold four things. Your account identifier — the email address or phone number you signed up with — because you need a way to prove the account is yours. A one-way hash of your password, which cannot be reversed into the password itself. The country you selected, because our agreements with studios are regional. And a record of when you accepted the platform agreements, because we are required to be able to show that you did.
We do not hold a marketing profile. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this site. Your play history stays associated with your account for the purpose of running the service and is not sold, shared or used to build a segment you can be targeted with.
If you want your account deleted, write to our support address from the account's registered contact method and it is done within thirty days. Deletion means deletion — the record is removed rather than flagged as inactive, and the only thing that survives is whatever a transaction record legally has to.
